Face and Body Painters' Association of SA (FABSA)
FABSA was formed in 2009 by face and body painting artists in SA for the purpose of sharing ideas, problems and solutions with the aim to improve and maintain standards in the industry.
FABSA not only works with the artists' proficiency in face and body painting, but also promotes professional training and encourages the use of safe products and techniques.
FABSA endeavours to provide its members with regular opportunities to come together and share their techniques, methods and experiences with like minded people in a friendly, non-competitive environment - fostering creativity through education.
FABSA members have to pass a certification test in order to join and this is to ensure that all FABSA members have reached a set standard of speed and competence. Anyone booking a FABSA member can be confident that our high standards will be met.
FABSA is in the process of creating a country-wide network of professionally trained and skilled artists that is a valuable resource for agencies, events organisers and parents requiring facepainters for their events.
FABSA is a non-profit association, administered by a democratically elected committee of its members.
